‘It’s both the dollars in the hand plus the experience of selling that counts’. For Diane, getting a good sale price is as important as walking away with a happy experience throughout the selling process. This is every seller’s dream and Andy from Lewis Real Estate provided exactly that experience. Andy’s personal touch and negotiating techniques got Diane over $70,000 more than the advertising price. Read the story below on why Diane and her husband were completely blown away with how things turned out.

Diane: My name is Diane and I sold my property at Oak Park through Lewis Realty and the agent was Andy Mobilia.
The downside of selling with the previous agent was that we didn’t seem to get to know him as well as we got to know Andy and we didn’t feel that it was such a personal relationship as it was this time. It was much more of a business relationship and we were only contacted when input was required from us. Whereas with Andy he was always updating us as to where he was with everything and we felt like he cared about us.
We’ve owned this investment property in Oak Park for six years. The only reason that we decided it was time to sell was because of my husband’s age and moving into retirement, which was another thing that Lewis made us feel really happy that we were making the right decision at the right time. There were no negatives attached to us selling the property.
This process with Lewis Realty’s been just so easy to go through, because they cared and they kept us in contact with every step of the way and showed us the log of people that they had to access as potential buyers. We were always very comfortable with them from day one. The price that Andy suggested that we put our property on the market for was vicinity of $470,000. My husband was hopeful that we would get closer to 500, but Andy waived his magic and got us well and truly over the $500,000.
The final price that we received was $542,500. This was so much more than we were expecting to get. We would have been happy at a lower price but Andy was just superb how he handled the whole thing. It was very satisfactory.
Andy knew our complete back story, I think that helps with the relationship with your real estate agent is what you’re expecting, why you want it, what your circumstances are and how you’re going to move forward. So, yes he knew exactly what we were looking for and he just worked so hard for us and did such a good job. He exceeded all expectations and Andy had actually negotiated that by answering a question that the buyer posed to them in a certain way and that made them put their price up even higher.
Andy knew the minimum that my husband in particular was looking for and he was able to then steer negotiations with negotiating in a way towards a much higher price. Using the sealed bids system he knew it really well and got to the extra twelve and a half thousand on it.
They just went that extra mile to get the extra dollars for us. The most important thing when you’re selling your property I suppose is the final outcome, but it’s also the experience along the way as well. You could probably get even more in some circumstances but not have the experience that we’ve walked away with where we are really happy. We would recommend Lewis Realty to all our friends and family that live over that side of town. It’s just one of those things where it’s both the dollars in the hand plus the experience of selling that counts. It did seem that Lewis really knew how to extract the maximum dollar from the customer based over there and they found us a great buyer.
